On May12 - 13, 2010 a working meeting on the issue of the development strategy of the Russian Red Cross voluntary movement took place in Moscow.
The result of this event was the project “Strategy of voluntary movement’s development”. This document aims to ensure the formation and proper organization of the able-bodied, robust, mobile and skilled volunteer corps of the RRC, devoted to ideas and ideals of the Movement; fully prepared to solve specific humanitarian tasks and able to mobilize internal resources of vulnerable communities to ensure their self-sustainability.
