RRC Resource Centre (RRC RC) on HIV and TB prevention held a four-day training session in Moscow, October 22-25, for trainers on the topic: HIV Prevention Among Youth
After careful selection of candidates the representatives from RRC and Kazakhstan RC/RC were invited as they have sufficient experience of independent work on holding trainings for youth on this topic (19 persons total).

The trainings were held by A.I.Zagaynova and A.V.Kalacheva, trainers from Technical Support Group of RRC RC, representatives from Irkutsk Regional Branch of RRC.
Objective of the training was education of certified specialists - trainers from National Societies of RRC and Kazakh RC for further training of instructors on HIV Prevention Among Youth.
The program of training was intended for four full days and included delivery of procedures and practical skill on:
• Updating and expansion of knowledge on HIV Prevention, including elements of investigation and analysis;
• Development of communication and training skills including impact on the process of education and conflicts control;
• Planning and organization of trainings including training preparation, approval and other organizational issues;
• Presentations by trainees on the topics of expected trainings for educating peer instructors (for refining the practical skills of trainers and demonstration of knowledge acquired).
The training was held in friendly, creative atmosphere. Diverse interactive techniques and procedures were used. On the last day of the training the trainees delivered mini-training sessions on the subjects with feedback from trainers-methodologists.

Following the training sessions the major share of trainees were awarded certificates that authorise them to hold independent trainings on educating the trainers from National Societies of RRC/RC on HIV Prevention Among Youth.
