Events, devoted to World Donor’s Day, took place in Irkutsk Region on 14 – 15 June. This year the holiday was celebrated under the motto “New blood for mankind”. Maxim Zarubin, the chief doctor of Irkutsk Blood Transfusion Station announced this information at press conference on Friday. On June 14 the mobile point of blood collection arrived at the Palace of Sport “Trud” in Irkutsk and a rally in support of donation took place in Angarsk. In addition, the ceremonial greeting of honor donors took place where the specialists of Irkutsk Branch of the Russian Red Cross participated too.
