The book is devoted to the variety of aspects of the pandemic of HIV-infection that spread on the entire planet. This book is not just a methodological guideline for health care professionals. It was developed for people of different professions and ages - everybody who wishes to learn more about HIV-infection, i.e. it is for laymen. We still hope that this book is first of all will be helpful to people living with HIV, their relatives and friends, personnel of public and governmental AIDS-service organizations, medical and social workers, teachers, and equally to all thoughtful and not indifferent people. The base for developing this manual is structure and basic material of the National Guidelines on AIDS (Great Britain), which is reviewed annually, and materials of many national and international governmental and non-governmental organizations. The book also a kind of resume of international and Ukrainian experience on responding the epidemic.
