Notwithstanding the fact that this report mostly touches on HIV prevention among injection drug users in countries with high level of risk, also data from other countries of the world was analyzed. The information and recommendations presented in this report may be also used by specialists from other countries where the parenteral mode of HIV transmission is not the main mode of transmission, but where it still plays important role.
