This manual describes up-to-date information about HIV-infection and main social and psychological challenges that people living with HIV and their family members face; peculiarities of providing social support. Special emphasis in the manual is made on provision medical-social assistance (case management) and support to HIV-positive pregnant women, new mothers and families with children, born to HIV-positive mothers. The manual is developed for social and healthcare workers, psychologists, as well as for everyone who wishes to know more about HIV/AIDS.
